Hi!...my name is John Ramos, by necessity I became a client of Honest-1. Although they are also a client of mine, you all know that having a vehicle no matter if it is a new or old one, eventually you will end up in an automotive shop. Many of us will take our vehicles back to the dealership and sometimes a neighborhood auto shop or to someone that fixes cars on the side to save some money. I can tell you that I was one to use a "mobile mechanic". Well, my SUV needed some TLC in the worst way. I took it to Honest-1 for an evaluation of what was going on with it. Their mechanics went over it in detail and after ascertaining the issue, it was shown and explained to me what had to be done, what needed to be taken care of first and what may be needed subsequently. Leighton Chin-See (owner) and Woody Scalf (Manager), they both, took their time explaining the actual working or lack of working parts, without any pressure what-so-ever. My experience with Honest-1 has left me (and reminded me) with an everlasting expression of what good customer care and service is. I highly recommend Honest-1. On July 5, 2018 I went to Honest 1 Car Care because the air conditioner in my Ford Edge was blowing fresh air instead of cool air. That day I paid $604.23 for installing a new a/c fan because the technician determined that a damaged fan was the cause of the a/c issue. On July 9, 2018 the a/c system began again to blow fresh air, the same problem it had when Honest 1 installed the new fan. On that date, July 9, 2018 Honest 1 gave me an estimate of $852.65 for installing a new a/c condenser because the technician said that it was necessary to install a new condenser to repair the a/c. On July 11, 2018 I went to another shop looking for a 2nd. opinion. At that shop they checked all the a/c system, finding everything good, except for a vacuum down and recharge of the system. I paid $53.75 for that service, and today, September 22, 2018, the A/C system of my 2009 Ford Edge is still working perfect.

The worst of the worst I brought my Dodge to them in April with an overheating issue, I spent over seven hundred dollars for them to fix it. In May I continued to have problems so I brought it back to them and paid over three hundred dollars. In July I continued to have overheating issues, Woody had my fluids checked and stated by process of elimination it must be my thermostat and it would cost an additional $325. I thought it was odd how he could spat out a cost without looking up to see how much a thermostat would cost for my car. I decided to take it to a mechanic who I have dealt with for years, the only reason I decided not to take it to him to begin with is the fact that his shop is in Kissimmee. He found some unidentifiable junk in my radiator which cause me to have to replace the radiator, the thermostat because it found it’s way through, the thermostat house because of the junk, and a new heating sensor. Another $810 and ten dollars. My question to Honest 1 is how and why did that junk get in my radiator to begin with and why would you charge me for coolant when you filled my radiator with water?

Took my Lexus RX 350 in for 30000 mile service. This service costs over $500 at the Winter Park Lexus dealer which includes a brake flush. I spoke with Woody before service was done. He said they would test the brake fluid and would recommend it be changed only if necessary. He also said they would show me any parts that they felt needed replacing for my approval. Bottom line-I needed an oil change, tire rotation and pollen filter. Total cost $105. Honest shop. Very professional and courteous.
